Mini Reunion Weekend

This past weekend was full of three different mini-reunions.

Mini Reunion #1:

IUP and associated friends 🙂  Now that I live closer, it was simpler to hop on the road and head to Suzie’s house in Centreville to have some girl time with Suzie, Amy, Kelly, Andrea, and a new addition, little Derek.  We stayed overnight on Friday only, as this wasn’t our standard “GW”.

My evening started off with this yummy beverage:

I got to meet Yuengling for the first time – a beagle/lab mix:

AND, I got to meet this little guy for the first time too!  He was so sweet.

I had fun watching him and remembering when Abby was that tiny.

As always, it was fun to see the girls and catch up with each other.  They are special people in my life and I think it’s very important to maintain friendships such as these!

Mini Reunion #2:

LHS alum!  It turns out that two fellow LHS’ers also live down here in Fredericksburg/Spotsy.  Peter and I got together for a little cookout with Stefan and Tiffany and their families on Saturday at Tiff’s house.  Their significant others are also from PA – small world sometimes!  Tiffany has a 3 yr. old – Mason, and Stefan has an 8 mo. old – Kaitlyn.  Abby had fun checking out all the fun toys in Mason’s playroom and especially liked the gigantic Mickey Mouse and the trains.  We had fun chit chatting and hanging out and I’m glad Abby got to hang around with some other little people since she doesn’t get to do that too much.  Hope to do it again sometime!  It’s nice to know people from Bethlehem down here who could suggest things to do in the area and especially since most work in the school district, they are good resources.  Thanks guys!

Mini Reunion #3:

Family!  On Sunday, Chris and Jennifer came up from Richmond to hang out with us.  Abby got to see her Uncle Chris and Aunt Jennifer again!  We had a great time in the early evening checking out the Chatham Manor on the other side of the river.  What a beautiful place (separate blog to come on that).  After Chatham we enjoyed some Crack Barrel and then frozen yogurt at Crave.  Fun weekend!

About virginiaisformaugles

My name is Jenn. I'm enjoying life in my thirties, being a mom to a beautiful and silly little girl, and happily married to my park ranger husband. We recently sold our house in Pennsylvania and moved to Virginia and bought a new home. I'm excited to get accustomed to our new home base and explore all the surrounding areas! I'm a pharma data analyst by day, a lullabye-singin' mommy by night. We also have a beagle named Sophie and a large-girthed cat named Nacho. Things I like: family togetherness, nature, hiking, movies, photography, reading, planning and organizing, exploring, music, biking, jogging, etc.
